ARCHIVED DATABASE - WITH DATA FROM 1983 to 1997:

(Please note that resources have not permitted the California Institute to maintain the Employment Database.  Below is information complete through late 1997 only.)

Employment data for all of California (seasonally and not seasonally adjusted), most metro areas, and 58 counties are available.

To search the database, choose a data category (e.g., unemployment rate, civilian labor force, service employment, etc.), a geographic area (e.g., statewide, San Francisco MSA, San Diego County, etc.), and a time period. Note that data are available from 1983-1997.
