TRW/HUGHES TEAM WINS SUPPORT SERVICES CONTRACT
The U.S. Air Force today awarded a TRW/Hughes team a
five-year, $15.6 million contract to provide technical
services support for the Defense Support Program (DSP). The
new contract consolidates what were formerly two separate
DSP contracts, one for spacecraft operations and one for
sensor support and mission assessment. TRW Space &
Electronics Group, based in Redondo Beach, already produces
the 5,200-pound satellites for the Air Force.
